Well I'm sure most of you heard that M.I.A. is retiring, going on hiatus, or whatever you may call it. If you didn't now you do! Supposedly she isn't going to do anymore live shows, but she will still make albums. Personally I was devastated by the news because I have yet to see M.I.A. live and now I probably never will! I've heard different things about different shows. Some say she performs good, and others say she sucks. I even heard that she was drunk at a few shows...idk. I still love her music because she has hot beats and they're fun to dance to. It's creative and uses different sounds for beats that I never even thought you could. Like the seal noises in "Boyz" on her latest album Kala. Some of her music/lyrics are influenced by older stuff, but who's isn't? I don't know if you are familiar with a website called Hipster Runoff, but I stumbled across a blog from July 19th on her "retirement". You should read it...there were some pretty interesting comments left on there. lol

Well anywhoo I still say she's awesome no matter what anyone else says. What do you guys think? Ohhhh and how about that other chick Santogold?? A lot of people say that she's trying to bite M.I.A.'s style, or be like her. I don't think her music sounds anything like M.I.A. and their styles are kinda different....idk. Well I have myself a group interview for the Hollister in the Water Tower on Friday....jeez i need money!=P

Well today was pretty exhausting...i slept until 11:30. That's one of the perks of Summer! lol So anyways, I decide to make breakfast and I did. While I was eating I watched the Mummy. My friend called about plans I had made with her today and I totally forgot! My mind was somewhere else and on top of that I was still being a bum=P So I get dressed and ride my bike to her house and it was soo hot out today, by the way! I get there thinking that she is going to be ready, but she's not and has some technical difficulties with her bike and on top of that, we had to stop a  gas station for air in her tires. Sooo after we finally got al of that out of the way, we headed to Oak Park. We rode up to Lake St,, then to Oak Park Ave. and chilled at this park underneath this big WWI monument. There we just talked about funny stuff that happened to us and what not. I started talking about how much I wanted an Arizona Iced Tea to quench my thirst, but either of us barely had any money! So we start looking around in our purses to see what we have...I looked in my wallet and said "Hey I found a quarter dollar!" and after that i found four more. I was all excited until my friend asked me to see the "quarter dollar" and she told me....these are quarters. I was so convinced that they were quarter dollars and when I realized I was wrong we both started LMAOing....How the hell could I forget what quarters look like dude!! lol That was my stupid moment of the day...I have those everyonce in a while. So soon after that we start heading back to her place. We were riding in River Forest when all off a sudden i saw this big bush in my path and I tried to swerve to avoid it....I FUCKING FALL OFF MY BIKE!! Of course my friend started laughing at me, but she helped me and was still concerned. lol I was laughing too because it was pretty hilarious. So then we continued on our journey and by then I was soo tired!! We decided to stop at McDonalds to get some air...and whatever we could buy with our "quarter dollars"...lol After that we finally went back to her house and another one of our friends called us up, so we chilled for a bit there and watched Fuse. I really wasn't in the mood for riding my bike back home, but I had to! When I got home I was so freakin hot!! I was literally dripping with sweat...so gross! I came in the house and stripped down to my underwear! lmao Then I took like a 3 hour long semi-cold shower...lol Oh yeahh and to top things off, my Dad got the cell phone bill today...not good. lol So now I'm cellphone-less until further notice...honestly I couldn't care less right now. My entire body is sore and all I want to do is rest!...PEACE!=]]

AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!!?? SHOWS, SHOWS, AND MORE SHOWS!!! lol I plan on writing journals about each one i go to and there will probably videos too, so look out for those....can't wait.=]]

I was right...it took a minute, but I have finally gotten used to the sound of Pretty. Odd. I love it!=]] I was so happy when Panic was artist of the week on MTV last week...such koolness. The little mini-movie they did was pretty interesting too if anyone saw it...i'm not sure if it's still on the site, but at mtv.com, you still might be able to see this little movie they did called the American Valley or something of that nature...check it out yo! Oh and also...I know I said that I wasn't too sure about going to Honda Civic, but now my friends are trying to talk me into going, so idk. On top of that that, there's an M.I.A show coming up and i effin LOVEEE her music!!! Both are in May and if I want to go to both, I'm going to need hella cash!!! grr...=/ It might come down to me chosing between the two most likely...jeez. Well thats about all for now I guess...hasta luego!!!

Pretty. Odd. indeed...there's no more "swear to shake it up if you swear to listen"...."praying for love in a lapdance"..."wonderful caricatures of intamacy"....or "holding the purse of a different kind"!!! I guess that makes sense since that's what Ryan was trying NOT to do. When I heard Panic's new album on The Leak at mtv.com...I was a tad dissapointed. Like the best song on the entire CD is probably "Nine in the Afternoon", well that's my favorite one at least. But the rest of the album mostly has this slow, mellow kind of feel to it. I don't know, maybe I'm just so used to "Fever"...maybe I just have to listen to it a couple more times and it will eventually grow on me. On the album everyone gets a chance to show off their vocals as well, that was pretty cool to me. In general, "Pretty. Odd." is just different. I respect the guys for being different, doing what they wanted and trying to break out of their whole first album sound. I was really excited to buy the CD on March 25, but now after hearing it, I wouldn't buy it only because there's not enough songs on there that make me go "AHHH I LOVE THIS SONG!!" But like I said..maybe it will grow on me. I still love Panic at the Disco TO DEATH!...I'm just stating my honest opinion...=]]

Soooo! Everyone's asking have you seen those new pics of Johnny Depp? I was beginning to feel a bit left out seeing that he's one of my husbands...=P I was a bit shocked at first to see him without the mustache and shorter hair...he looks....(and i hate to say it) OLD!!! ughhh its going to be hard for me to face it, but its true...that look worked for him better when he was younger. BUT ITS OKAY!! I couldn't possibly stop loving him...simply because he's sooo awesome! But hopefully he goes back to the little beard with longer hair and that curl on the front ...oh and his glasses!!! haha...so hott. But yeah i don't doubt that I won't be going to see this movie and its not just because Johnny is in it....Christian Bale and Channing Tatum!!!! ITS LIKE FREKIN HEAVEN!!! ahhh yeahh can't wait to see Public Enemies...too bad I have to wait until 2009!!=[[

I just saw Cloverfield...that is my response...

I am honestly so pissed/dissapointed that I wasted my time getting into this fuckin hype for Cloverfield since fucking October!!!
Like when I first heard about it and saw the trailer and heard all the rumors about it, I was sooo fuckin stoked. I was determined to see this movie. It just looked so interesting and EVERYONE was dying to see what the monster was. 1-18-08 was marked on the calender.

Kay lets start from the beginning...it starts out as a video tape of Rob and his little girlfriend, or whatever. Then it goes into the party which was dragged out entirely too long. It basically revolved around Rob's old girlfriend coming to the party with her bf, or some shit, and I'm thinking okay what the hell does Rob's love life have to do with the friggin monster!!!??? WHEN IS ALL THE ACTION GOING TO HAPPEN??! So basically the attack begins and its nothing that you haven't already seen on the internet, sooo I'm STILL waiting for some action that i haven't already seen in the trailers and clips, or whatever. Come to find out THERE ISN'T SHIT ELSE TO SEE! Its just the people running away and as for the monster, you can like barely see it when they show it the first couple of times because the camera is so damn shaky. So you're just left lost and confused. The only thing you know is something big is attacking and there are soldiers shooting at it. The parasites were pretty weird/scary/creepy looking and I guess when they bite you, you blow up. That's what happened to one of the characters, but again thats nothing we haven't already seen in the trailers!!! The monster knocked down a couple of buildings and knocked the head clean off of the statue of liberty....okay, but the million dollar question is WHERE THE HELL DID THIS MONSTER COME FROM???! I mean there isn't any explanation of what it is, or anything...the people on the movie just keep repeating "What is that thing?!" and I reply IDK, i wanna kno the same thing!!! But guess what? we never find out. I guess the thing just effin appeared out of nowhere. I give Abrams major kudos for the monster though. It was very creative and it was DEFINITELY nothing i have EVER seen before!!! It was pretty insane. I have to admit my mouth dropped a bit when the "intimate" scene with the monster came about. I was impressed. So other than that towards the end its just like Rob and his little gf and it just seemed more like a love story to me than anything. i'm like what is this the effin notebook??! Hud's (the camera guy) comedic relief was a nice addition to the film.

But seriously I get the whole Hush Sound thing, but what the hell does this Medicine Man have to do with the mystery band for Honda Civic Tour???! People are seriously going crazy over this and wasting their lives trying to figure out what this thing is all about. I'm not gonna join in on the "fun" though. I just looked at the page once and was like WTF!!? If you go to the Medicine Man's myspace page, the default picture may seriously give you the creeps...I know when I first saw it I thought it was going to give me nightmares, but maybe its just me. Its like some Native American thing...idk.Honestly, I think that this Medicine Man thing is just there to mess with people's heads...is there really even a mystery band??!! There are also these puzzle pieces planted on certain myspace pages and when you put them together, it reveals Panic at the Disco's new album cover. I thought that this was a pretty clever idea. I only know of two puzzle pieces...one is on the Decaydance myspace page and the other is located in Panic at the Disco's myspace photos...the hardcore fans have already managed to put most of the album together already, It looks like nothing I've seen before. Personally, i can't wait until "Pretty Odd" drops in late March. Its going to be intereting to see what pretty Ryan has come up with this time around...=P

I was sooo stoked about honda civic tour for this year because last year's tour was AMAZINGGG [i know i said i wouldnt use that word again, but it was]

Sooooo now panic at the disco....[looked sooo much better with the exclamation mark!]
is headlining the tour. Don't get me wrong. That's great and everything because i absolutely loveee panic! They aren't really good live, but they put on a good show. As for the supporters...Motion City Soundtrack and The Hush Sound. Kay i like Motion City Soundtrack, but i wouldnt pay to see them in concert. The same goes for The Hush Sound...its just like an eh i probably won't go. There still is a mystery band that hasn't been named yet and I am curious to see who it is. Personally, I would have wanted to see Cobra Starship perform on the tour because Gabe is just funn and so are their songs...i love them!!
Well, so much for the Honda Civic Tour. I know i definitely can't wait for the summer!!! There's gonna be Warped Tour [which I am happy that TAI will be there]...maybe i'll meet sisky! haha. Then there's the Summerfest in Milwaukee, Lalapalooza, etc...oh yeah. I am counting down the days as we speak.=]]
